Pesticide Training

PA1 (NPTC) is the Foundation Theory Module, assessing knowledge of basic legislation for pesticides. PA1 must be passed by anyone wishing to take any other PA units.

PA2 (NPTC) is needed by anyone wanting to operate mounted or trailed boom sprayers. It’s also needed if you wish to operate most ‘weed wiper’ types of applicator.

PA6 (NPTC) is required by anyone wishing to apply pesticides using a hand-held lance or knapsack type applicator. The lance may be vehicle-mounted e.g. on a tractor or ATV.

Health and Safety

IOSH Managing Safely is suitable for all industries and provides essential knowledge and understanding of how to manage health and safety for managers and supervisors.

ROLO (Register of Land-Based Operatives) is to raise the standards of Health and Safety and reduce the risks and accidents throughout the industry for anyone who works in the Land based Sectors. ROLO is also now a pre-requisite for anyone applying for a LISS/CSCS card.

Practical

Certificate of competence in the use and maintenance of grounds machinery is a hands on course getting to grips with the safe and correct handling of grounds maintenance equipment alongside the important aspect of maintenance.

First Aid

Emergency First Aid At Work Course is for first aiders looking to gain comprehensive certified approval. Successful delegates receive an approved AoFA certificate valid for 3 years.
