All client site locations, whether single or multi-site will be added to our advanced alert forecasting system. We will set a trigger temperature with our client (we recommend 1°C) and at this temperature Hortech will deploy gritting teams. We also have the ability to monitor and report the likelihood of snowfall and give up to date information on road conditions.

Always looking to go that extra mile for our clients . . . we will even calculate whether the top storey of a car park will hit the trigger temperature even when at ground level it doesn’t!
Managing with confidence
Our Helpdesk team manage the process ensuring that adequate vehicles/equipment and staff are deployed to cover all locations requiring gritting/snow clearance on a daily basis.
Response time to requests for reactive gritting or snow clearance will be maximum 2 hours.
Salt provided will conform to BS 3247:1991.
