Originally founded as a weed control company in 1987, Hortech Limited has become a leading provider of specialist vegetation management across the United Kingdom. We provide weed control services for several national and regional multi-site contracts as well as numerous local contracts from our growing network of depots. We utilise a fleet of specialist and purpose built vehicles including Landrovers and Supercat/ATVs as well as the more conventional knapsack sprayers, CDAs (controlled droplet applicators) and granule spreaders.
Hortech directly employs full time BASIS Advisors ensuring that chemical choice is wholly impartial and solely governed by the task in hand. The advisors are responsible for the selection of approved herbicides for use on all contracts, the rates that they are applied, the methods used for storage and their transport and application.
Invasive weeds such as Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam, Giant Hogweed and Bracken present a range of challenges to our clients and those tasked with dealing with them. Hortech Limited’s expertise ensures that control solutions can be provided to deal with these plants which threaten today’s ecosystems and economic interests.
