NATIONAL AWARD FOR HORTECH

Staff at Hortech Landscape Management are delighted with their success in receiving amajor safety award from RoSPA at the 2010 Occupational Health & Safety Awards Ceremony, held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel.
A team of senior management representatives received the ‘Commended in the Forestry Sector’ Award from Lord Jordan of Bournville (William Brian Jordan Esquire, CBE) at anational award ceremony for businesses across the UK, hosted by RoSPA Chief Executive, Sir Tom Mullarkey.
Hortech were the first UK Company to be presented with this RoSPA Forestry (encompassing landscape management) Sector Award in 2007, and they have received major Sector Awards every year since – a unique achievement.  Hortech provides an integrated, environmentally-friendly landscape management service, which is delivered primarily to the utility and service sector.
Reg Sargeant BEM CMIOSH, Health, Safety and Resources Manager at Hortech received theaward on behalf of the company and said: “We take the matter of proactive health and safetyawareness very seriously, it is a huge achievement both for the company and the safety team to retain a fourth consecutive sector award”
